JW Pepper Links

I’m well aware that most of the JW Pepper links to my scores, are not working. Pepper made an update recently and most of the links on my site no longer take you to the correct items. All music can still be found by using the search feature of Pepper’s site. However, I’m in the process of fixing all of the links this week and appreciate your patience. – Britt

Ask Me now available for SATB & Piano

I recently finished an SATB version of my choral work, Ask Me. The original version was only for SSAA and piano, written many years ago. However, it was one of my very early choral works. The piano accompaniment was written more like how I would write for instrumentalists. In other words, it did not really support the choir in a way that makes it easy for the singers to find their pitches. Because of this, I revised the entire piano accompaniment for both the original SSAA version, and this brand new SATB arrangement. I’m very excited to share both of these final versions to choirs looking for a lighter, yet powerful secular work.

Redemption Variations

Redemption Variations features several moments from the work, Reclamation Variations. But unlike the original work, this new addition has been reduced to 8 minutes and 30 seconds. Seven of the most important variations are included in this new arrangement. The instrumentation and orchestration have been revised to make the performance more comfortable for the musicians. The work features a solo acoustic guitar with nylon strings. This is not intended to be a highly virtuosic work, but it is intended show how a guitar can complement a full orchestra. The solo nylon-string guitar should be amplified in some manner. A microphone may be used and sent into a PA speaker system, or a guitar amplifier may be used with pickups. I highly encourage amplifying the guitar to make sure it is heard, as the orchestra will overpower it.

Curiosity for Orchestra

When I first started writing Curiosity in 2023, I was not sure if it should be a wind band or orchestra piece. I completed the band version in 2023, but still wanted the orchestral version to be heard. Finally in 2024, an orchestra version is now available. Enjoy!
