Creepy Caverns : for Guitar Orchestra, released!

Creepy Caverns is now available via JW Pepper and Sheet Music Plus.  In Motion for Guitar Orchestra has been a highly popular work with guitar ensembles throughout North America, and I hope that Creepy Caverns is equally successful. Although more challenging than In Motion, an effort has been made to keep this at a performable level for most guitar orchestras.  If your ensemble performed In Motion and would like to perform this work, please contact us!

New Orchestra Work, A Daunting Path!

I wrote this new orchestra work in the Winter of 2019 and finished editing it in the early Spring.  It took a long time to create the right title for the piece, as the music was inspired by the feeling of uncertainty and heavy pressure while facing a difficult path.  Everyone can relate to this inevitable situation that happens in each our journeys.  Score and parts are currently available here and will be available via other distributors in the future.

New Concert Band work, Resilience!

I recently completed a new concert band work titled Resilience.  This was an unusual experience because it took only two weeks to compose and orchestrate.  I’ve never had a band piece take such a short amount of time, but this piece just seemed to write itself.  The difficulty is about a level 3 – 3.5, depending on a few factors.  Once the parts are complete, the work will be available through JW Pepper and Sheet Music Plus.  Very excited about this piece and I hope it will be attractive to concert bands looking to program a piece about overcoming difficulties!  -Britt

A Train Through Yorkshire – now available for orchestra!

I do not normally go back and revise old music, but I made an exception in this case.  The original version of A Train Through Yorkshire was rushed to meet a short deadline.  As a result, it didn’t turn out as well as I intended. I finally decided the thematic material deserved a better treatment.  11 years later, after I just completed another orchestra work, I had some free time to work on this.  Originally for concert band, I believed it would sound just as interesting if not better with an orchestra.  I will also be revising the band version very soon and should have the final revised version out by the end of September.
